These Terms of Use apply to elliotackerman.net (the “Site”), Elliot Ackerman’s author website. The Site shares information about his books, essays, interviews, appearances, and Book Club, and provides links to publishers, retailers, and other resources. Your use of the Site is subject to these Terms and applicable law. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.

Copyright and Other Intellectual Property

Original writing, photographs, graphics, design, and other material on the Site are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual-property laws. Rights belong to Elliot Ackerman or the respective rights holder, except where otherwise identified. Making material available on this Site does not transfer ownership of it to visitors.

Book covers, publisher descriptions, excerpts, interview recordings, retailer logos, trademarks, and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Their display does not grant permission to reproduce or reuse them. Publication on the Site does not mean that Elliot Ackerman owns every displayed asset or can license another rights holder’s work.

Limited License and Permitted Use

You may access the Site and read its content for personal, noncommercial purposes. You may share links to publicly available pages. You may print or save a reasonable copy of a page for your own personal reference, provided that you preserve copyright notices, attribution, and links identifying the original source.

Books, Retailers, and External Websites

Links to retailers, publishers, event organizers, media outlets, and other websites are provided for convenience and context. External websites are operated independently and have their own terms and privacy practices. The Site does not control their content, security, availability, or handling of your information.

When a purchase or registration is completed on an external website, the transaction is with that retailer or organizer, rather than with this Site. Questions about payment, delivery, digital access, refunds, cancellations, or event admission should be directed to the party handling the transaction.

Editorial Content and Book Club Information

Views attributed to a guest, interviewer, author, publisher, or reviewer belong to that person or organization and do not necessarily represent Elliot Ackerman’s views. Third-party quotations and endorsements should be read in their stated context.

Book Club archive or reading-guide dates should not be treated as proof of a historical monthly selection unless the page expressly identifies a verified selection. A reading guide or catalog listing does not, by itself, constitute an endorsement by Elliot Ackerman. Editorial material is not individualized legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

Comments, Submissions, and Communications

Where the Site permits public comments or submissions, you are responsible for what you submit and must have the rights necessary to share it. Do not submit another person’s confidential information or material that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, or infringing.

You retain ownership of your submissions. This permission does not authorize unrelated commercial exploitation of your work and does not apply to private contact messages.
